CZ's scooter, Cezeta 175, came out in 1958, just over 10 years after the archetypal Vespa . The Cezeta stood out from the crowd with its spectacular design, built on a combination of frame and sheet metal bodywork. The front suspension consisted of a small swingarm fork, and the fuel tank was integrated into the front fender. The engine was CZ's own 1-cylinder 2-stroke with 171.1 cc.

The first Cezeta was equipped with 2 exhaust pipes, one on each side of the rear wheel, and had the model designation 501. In 1961 the sequel 502 came, with a more powerful engine equipped with a cooling fan and only 1 exhaust pipe. Cezeta could also be delivered as a 3-wheeler with a cargo box, under the model designation 505.
