The CB750 was presented to the press and public at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 1968, and went on sale in 1969. It was produced in 3 different versions over a 10-year period: CB750Four, Hondamatic 750, and CB750Four Super Sport. In 1979, it was time to mark the model's 10th anniversary with the CB750LTD. It represented a commercial success that has become a central part of motorcycle history, while also showing that Honda had taken a new step in development with the new DOHC engine that pointed the way into the new decade just around the corner.
