Danmarks Motorcykelmuseum
If you take the trip across the Skagerak and down to Denmark, specifically to Stubbekøbing on the island of Falster, there is a museum that can really show you "goodies" on 2 wheels from the infancy of the motorcycle in the early 1900s, and up until the 1980s.

The somewhat worn-out statement that “It’s nice to be Norwegian in Denmark” was fully experienced when I rolled into the narrow streets of Stubbekøbing on my old Harley. The small town is located about 7 kilometers east of the E47, and inside the picturesque village is what is described as Northern Europe’s largest collection of vintage motorcycles, the “ Danmarks Motorcykelmuseum ”.
I was therefore very excited when I stepped into the premises. Now one should be careful about ranking exhibitions and collections against each other, but one thing is certain; such a breadth in terms of brands and models of really old vintages is not everyday.
Just inside the front door stood, among other things, an ACE and no less than three models of the rare American brand "Pope", all from the period 1915-1925. An Indian 4-HP from 1913 stood just behind, and by the window stood, of all things, an Indian outboard motor. In addition to well-known brands produced in Japan, England, the USA and Europe, I found motorcycles I had never heard of before. Brands such as Corgi, Skylon, LITO, PHN, ICM, Disa, BFC, Auly, Gøricke and Hoffmann should make even jaded motorcycle enthusiasts pay attention.
The collection includes more than 200 motorcycles, many of which date from the first half of the last century. It should also be added that in addition to the "obligatory" Nimbuses, there were some truly rare goodies, including those made in Denmark.
We dare say that a visit to the museum in Stubbekøbing is a "must", and there are not so few Norwegians who pass by on the E47 to or from Rødbyhavn on the neighboring island of Lolland, on their way down or home from the Continent. Then a turn at Nykøbingvej 54 in Stubbekøbing is recommended.
