The Clubhouse Festival

Are you interested in custom bikes and a genuine biker environment? If so, you should stop by the biker party "The Clubhouse Festival" at Skjærvaveien 18 in Strømmen today or tomorrow, Saturday, May 10. After all, it's not every day that biker guys open their gates and invite everyone to a party.

The event, which is a collaboration between the four biker clubs Dogs & Saints MC, Unforgiven MC, Pøbel MC and Wild Goose MC, shows a motorcycle community with genuine features that have roots back to parts of the American motorcycle culture that grew up after World War II. In addition to the four organizing clubs, a number of different badges on sturdy badge boards around the meeting place testified to the great diversity of biker clubs in Norway.

Roger Søtter, president of Dogs & Saints MC and responsible for the event, says that the idea behind the festival is to create unity across the clubs. "We want to contribute to openness around the biker community," he says. I think it's positive, because the prejudice against men with beards, leather jackets and dark sun visors on converted Harley-Davidson is still out there. I have experienced the prejudice myself on my countless trips on my old Harley, and what else can I do then but smile.

The Clubhouse Festival is open today until midnight, and will open its gates again tomorrow, Saturday, May 10th, from 12-midnight. If you want to meet friendly motorcycle enthusiasts, enjoy a cup of coffee, look at great custom bikes, enjoy a hamburger, maybe get a tattoo or two, or just sit on a bench with a cold beer in the sun, then The Clubhouse Festival is the place.
