Shovelhead 1200 FXE

Custom and chopper culture originated in America, and the cult is often associated with Harley-Davidson and biker culture. The iconic brand with roots in Milwaukee has created both fear and admiration as they thunder down the country road, rebuilt according to all the rules of the art.

The bike I present here falls squarely into the custom category, and few of the parts that were bolted to the frame when it left the assembly line in York, Pennsylvania in 1981 can be found on it today. The model, a 1200 FXE with a Shovelhead engine, is a favorite object for customizing. It is said that an original Harley-Davidson hardly exists, and that they are customized before 6 months have passed.
