The retro novelty; Honda CB1000F

Honda has done it before, and now they're doing it again. Last time was the CB1100 that arrived in 2010, and which showed lines back to its "ancestor" the CB750Four from 1969. Now the brand new retro model CB1000F shows lines and graphics taken straight from the 1980s, and we can't help but look forward to seeing it live when it rolls out in 2026.

CB is synonymous with Honda , and a whole new standard was set when the CB750Four was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 1968. Let it be said that the heritage of the CB is the CB92Benly that came in 1959. Since then, the CB series has gone on a winning streak, and Honda has now found the time to celebrate the greats of the past, and this time from the 1980s. The retro model CB1000F is strongly inspired by the CB series with DOHC engine that came in 1979, where the CB750F is clearly the role model.

Honda CB1000F is built on the Hornet platform, where the drivetrain, or engine if you will, is tuned based on the 2017 specification of the CBR1000RR Fireblade. The engine is tuned so that much of the power comes in the lower part of the rev range. The CB1000F is of course packed with modern damping, effective brakes and a number of electronic assistance functions. The bike could of course have had a 4-2 exhaust system, but Honda follows up on the sporty alibi, and thus a 4-1 system is the perfect choice. 4-1 is associated with racing, which is by no means a coincidence. In the 1980s, Freddie Spencer rode a CB750F in the American AMA championship.

The model is available in three color options: Wolf Silver Metallic with blue stripe, Wolf Silver Metallic with gray stripe, and Graphite Black with red stripe. For those who want to put a little more personal touch on their bike, owners can choose from a list of equipment that offers various decals, decorative covers, heating sleeves and quick-shift to name a few. When it comes to riding style, Honda has by no means forgotten this, and offers 3 choices: Sports Pack, Comfort Pack and Travel Pack.
