A piece of Britain; Frode Sørensen

A somewhat unusual showcase
There are the occasional shop where classic English motorcycles are still alive and well. I went to Denmark to experience one of these, and it really is a journey back in time..

At Frode Sørensen in Allingåbro in Jutland, the English motorcycles from before the 1980s are what bring in the cash.
The company has one of Europe's largest parts warehouses for Triumph , BSA and Norton , among others, in addition to fully restored classic machines for sale, and its own workshop.

Owner Knud Erik Sorensen
The shop, located at Hovedgaden 31, which runs through the small village, evokes associations with the TV series "With a Heart in the Right Place" and the village of Aidensfield.

When I stopped by, I met Sørensen and what he doesn't know about old English motorcycles isn't worth knowing. After all, he's been dealing with classic English motorcycles for a lifetime.

In the store, customers can get all kinds of parts, and of course complete bicycles. This store has an atmosphere and a period color that is difficult to describe, it must be experienced.

As I leave the shop in Allingåbro, start my old Harley and head north, it strikes me that the slogan "Keep the British bikes going" on the business card that Sørensen handed me as I walked out the door is what customers experience when they come in for help.

And, if you are interested in classic English motorcycles and are near Allingåbro, a visit to Sørensen is a 'must'.

The store is nothing less than a living museum where the items are for sale.
