Ekeberg Market in the fall of 2025

September means that a new Ekeberg market is in the works, and this autumn's market will take place at Ekeberg Camping on September 19-20. With sales stalls, club stands, there is a lot to experience, and maybe you will find exactly the part you are missing, and that needs to be in place to make your motorcycle complete.

Even though the big market day is on Saturday, Friday evening can be a smart time to take a stroll among the stalls. The sellers are there, it's less crowded, and it's often a little easier to "spot" what you're looking for. A few years ago I was in the final stages of finishing a Suzuki GS1000 from 1978. This was in the spring, more specifically in May, and the Ekeberg market was just around the corner.

There wasn't much I needed, just a few small items like a throttle cable, a small side cover, a lens for the taillight and some other small items. After a few hours of wandering through the sales stalls I found the parts I was missing, and the crowning glory was the original "Shop Manual", unused and in a sealed plastic bag. It wasn't really on my shopping list as I had a Haynes manual lying on the shelf. But, what could Haynes do when the original literature from Suzuki was there for sale for a hundred ringgit....
