Tempo Swing 50

Tempo 's motorcycles and mopeds shaped Norwegian transportation history more than any other brand for several decades after 1945. They were solid, affordable, and easy to maintain.
The small and blue-smoking 2-strokes from Øglænd on Jæren gained momentum in the nation, and Tempo became a household name. Tempo's model "Swing" with pedals and manual transmission was produced in the period 1958-1961, and was a faithful companion for many.

Free car sales in 1960
1960 is an important year in Norwegian transport history. This year, car sales became free, meaning that the restrictions on car sales that had been introduced after the war were now lifted. This naturally had consequences for the sales of both mopeds and motorcycles.

However, there was no sudden stop in sales for Tempo . They were still attractive as a means of transportation for both young and old, partly because mopeds did not require a license. This Swing was registered on April 20, 1960, and was widely used in Sunnmøre, despite the fact that car sales increased rapidly in the years to come.
