The 175TV was relatively advanced for its time, and had, compared to previous Lambretta models, improved suspension, an improved frame, a horizontal cylinder engine, 4 gears and 10-inch wheels. The 175cc was both easy to ride and fast, and showed that a scooter could be used for longer trips, and not just for city driving.
