Kawasaki Z1000 Turbo

Kawasaki1973

What do you do when your 1000cc bike doesn't feel fast enough and you want some extra "powder" out of the engine? Turbocharging can be the solution, like on this rugged Kawa from the 70s.

Neither the Z900 nor the Z1000 were behind their competitors in terms of 0-100 and top speed, but as I said; some want more, go for that little extra, the thing that gives a thrust that cannot be described, but must be experienced. Such a project requires both knowledge and skills if it is to be optimal. And, on this Kawasaki it has been carried out from A to Z. Brakes, swingarm and other vital parts that are needed to harness the power from the turbine wheel are in place. Perhaps it fulfills the slogan of Kawasaki's sales brochures from the 1970s which said "Let the good times roll"!
