In 1963 the new unit engine A65 was introduced, a design that BSA stuck with it until the brand disappeared in 1973. Today the Rocket Gold Star 650 is a sought-after model. Together with BSA DBD 34 Gold Star, and not least BSA A65 Lightning Clubman, it formed the sports segment at BSA . The factory located in Birmingham was one of the world's largest manufacturers of motorcycles in the 1950s, and was actually best known for producing somewhat conservative and reliable everyday machines.
